My Grandfather was Sad Sack

 -today I got my last comics I would buy

-12 Back Issues from the US

-I got Harvey Collectors Comics 16

-it had reprints of the first two Sad Sack comics

-I had briefly thought it before but this time saw it clearer

-Sad Sack looks like my grandfather George Ager

-Sad Sack was created by George Baker

-Sad Sack is in the Army

-my grandfather was a Soldier in WW2

-I once saw an old photo of him swimming in the sea in Egypt

-the water up around him. He had one foot above the waterline

-the character I made up the Watcher

-male, average height, his body or outfit made of sack. Tied at the ends of limbs by ropes. He was covered by the sack all over his body

-years later I once 'saw' in Revelations a figure named the Watcher who looked the same

-twice to do with watching things

-when I was young I asked my grandfather to make a paperback Winnie the Pooh book a hardcover

-he put card in the cover sleeves

-and once my grandfather asked me if I would like to sit outside on the upstairs balcony off my grandparents' bedroom

-it was usually locked

-I didn't want to

-I realized this on New Year's Eve 2025
